Neurology is the branch of medicine that deals with disorders of the nervous system. This includes the brain, blood vessels, muscles and nerves. The doctor who works in this field is called a neurologist. A neurosurgeon treats neurological disorders with surgery. Neurosurgery is surgery performed on the nervous system; particularly on the brain and spinal cord.
