Some insurance providers require a primary care referral before you can see a specialist, so having established care with a primary care physician can be critical.
During your preventative care annual exam at SIU Medicine, you may interact with your primary care provider in addition to a medical student or resident. Your care provider will spend valuable time with you. They will also provide you with more information to help you understand and prevent various health concerns.
